We are pleased to announce that we have won the Tasmanian Volunteering 'Best Practice in Volunteer Management Award'.
The awards were announced at a reception at Government House during National Volunteer Week.
This award demonstrates our commitment to delivering an exceptional volunteer experience for those who choose to volunteer with us.
We recognise the work of our Human Resources Manager, Michelle Howells, who has led and shaped our volunteering program.
“Volunteers are pivotal to our organisation. Together they provide more than 13,000 days of driving so that our 6,900-plus consumers remain independent, and stay connected within their communities,” said CEO Lyndon Stevenson.
“Our onboarding program creates a positive experience whereby we recognise the skills our volunteers bring to CTST. We have created a program where they are welcomed, properly trained, and have a sense of purpose and belonging.”
"With a number of passenger compliments coming through, and a sharp growth in demand across the state, our combined team efforts to attract new volunteers and ensure they feel supported across CTST, is paying off."
We thank Volunteering Tasmania and congratulate all winners and finalists.
