Community Transport Services Tasmania Inc. (CTST) is a state-wide community based not-for-profit organisation that specialises in the provision of door-to-door community transport, for eligible consumers over 65, and younger people with disabilities.
The transport service is provided to enable eligible consumers to attend social appointments, including shopping and visiting family, and non-emergency medical transport.
CTST’s service assists our eligible consumers to continue living independently in the community, and to remain connected to the community.
Community Transport Services Tasmania became registered as an Incorporated Association in June 1990. The organisation is a registered charity.
We are governed by a volunteer Board of between seven and ten members of the Tasmanian business and professional community.
Our operations are funded jointly through the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP), and the Tasmanian Home and Community Care Program (HACC). The purpose of these agreements is to provide transport services to the Over 65’s (CHSP), and younger people with disabilities (HACC) in our communities to enable them to remain living at home, and connected to their community.
CTST is a registered NDIS provider.
CTST is currently the largest community transport provider in Tasmania.
